Section 26 – ELDERS RURAL SERVICES OPEN FARMER’S CHALLENGE & OUTBACK ALMONDS JUNIOR FARMER’S CHALLENGE

Section of Schedule Competitions

ALL COMPETITORS ARE REQUIRED TO SIGN THE WAIVER
RELAY EVENT WITH TEAMS OF 4 PEOPLE
OPEN TEAMS 15 YEARS PLUS
JUNIOR TEAMS 14 YEARS AND UNDER
LEG 1: SWAG ROLLING
– First pair will be required to put on a flanny
– Then roll up a swag and do the ties up, then carry to the next
stage
LEG 2: FISHING
– Second pair will need to collect their fishing gear
– Get to the fishing spot and set up and put on fishing gear
– Then catch 5 fish and place into a bucket of water
– Carry the bucket to the next pair without spilling the water or
dropping the fish
LEG 3: HAY BALE
– Next pair will be required to put on a blue singlet
– Then run through an obstacle
– Pick up a hay bale then carry it to the next pair
LEG 4: BAG OF WHEAT
– The final pair will need to collect their sack truck and occy
straps and wheel it to the bag of wheat
– Put the bag of wheat onto the sack truck and tie it on
– Then wheel it to the finish line
ENTRY CATEGORIES & PRIZE MONEY:
– 10 years and under – $80.00 per team of 4 (first prize only)
– 11 – 14 years – $100.00 per team of 4 (first prize only)
– 15 – 19 years – $160.00 per team of 4 (first prize only)
– 20 years and over – $200.00 per team of 4 (first prize only)

All teams of 4. All props and accessories will be provided.
Heats will be conducted (if needed) for each age group and the
winner of each heat goes to the final.

Entry Fee: Teams 14 years and under $4.00 per team; Teams 15
years plus $10.00 per team
How to Enter: Show Day Online (https://showday.online/) by
Friday 28th August 2026. Entries will also be taken at the
Secretary’s Office at the Showgrounds by 10.00am Sunday 30th
August 2026.
Competition to be held on Sunday 30th August 2026
