Section 24 – Wentworth Post Office Postage Stamp Competition

This year’s postage stamp is going to be delivered by a Turtle.
Freshwater turtles can help to keep our rivers cleaner by eating
lots of dead fish and shrimp and can be found in the Darling and
Murray Rivers but their numbers are declining. Perhaps your
turtle might be swimming in the water or perhaps it might be on
land where it has laid its eggs. Have fun with your entry.
The Postage Stamp entries will be displayed in the Children’s
Work Shed. Entries are to be delivered to the Secretary’s Office
by 10.00 am Friday 28th August and all artwork including school
displays must be collected from the Children’s Work Shed on
Sunday at the conclusion of the show or from the shed on
Monday 31st August. Prize money can be collected from the
Secretary’s Office after 5pm on Sunday 31st August.
Entries are to be A4 size and please ensure the child’s name,
age, class & school are printed on the back of your entry.
