CLOSING DAY OF ENTRY: 22 August 2025
DELIVERY OF EXHIBITS: Scarecrows to be put on display, with the assistance of Stewards only on Friday 29 August between 8.30am and no later than 4.00pm at the Wentworth Showgrounds.
JUDGING DAY: SATURDAY 30 AUGUST 2025
ENTRY FEE: $1.00 PER SCARECROW
1st, 2nd and 3rd Ribbons will be awarded in each Class.
The Exhibitor acknowledges that pre-moulded or commercially available face masks ARE NOT permitted. No perishable goods may be used in the construction of the Exhibit. Scarecrows must be in good taste and not reflect controversial/social or political situations AND need to be able to be secured firmly to a star post. (Exhibits may be moved by the Committee if required once judged). Exhibits are to be assembled in their allocated space on Friday 29 August 2025.

Specific Rules for Recycled Scarecrow:
– Must be of sound construction
– Made entirely of recycled products eg. Cans, bottles, milk
cartons, newspaper
– Have a name

CLASS 27001 – SCARECROW CREATED BY A CHILD OR CHILDREN 10 YEARS AND UNDER.
Exhibit must be a minimum of 1m square (width) and maximum of 2m high. Limited to ONE entry per Exhibitor.
1st Prize – $55.00, 2nd Prize – $35.00, 3rd Prize – $15.00
CLASS 27002 – SCARECROW CREATED BY EXHIBITORS 11- 16 YEARS.
Exhibit must be a minimum of 1m square (width) and maximum of 2m high. Limited to ONE entry per Exhibitor.
1st Prize – $55.00, 2nd Prize – $35.00, 3rd Prize – $15.00
CLASS 27003 – SCARECROW CREATED BY EXHIBITORS 17 YEARS AND OVER.
Exhibit must be a minimum of 1m square (width) and maximum of 2m high. Limited to ONE entry per Exhibitor.
1st Prize – $55.00, 2nd Prize – $35.00, 3rd Prize – $15.00
CLASS 27004 – SCARECROW CREATED BY ANY AGE AND COMPLETELY MADE FROM ITEMS THAT CAN BE RECYCLED.
Exhibit must be a minimum of 1m square (width) and maximum of 2m high. Limited to ONE entry per Exhibitor.
1st Prize – $55.00, 2nd Prize – $35.00, 3rd Prize – $15.00
All Scarecrows must be collected on Sunday 31 August 2025 after 4.00pm. Those not collected will be disposed of by the Chief Steward.
