The Wentworth Show Society regrettably announces the cancellation of the 2021 annual Show due to be held on the 28 and 29 August 2021. This includes the pre Show that was scheduled for Sunday 15 August.

The distances travelled and state borders to be crossed for most of our competitors, traders, exhibitors, Showman’s Guild members and patrons were already difficult, but the developments of the last few weeks with Covid-19 spreading in NSW make it impossible for us to continue. While this cancellation is relatively short notice and far from ideal, we do not want to be in the position of cancelling much closer to the event when people have made financial commitment and are already travelling.

After the cancellation of the 2020 Show the committee rallied this year and were preparing for a spectacular 135th Show with the introduction of our new Pavilion as a focus. Sadly this will not happen.

This decision has not been taken lightly, and will be a disappointment for all involved but we feel it would be irresponsible to proceed.

Over the coming days and weeks the Show Society will be in contact with all stakeholders to finalise cancellation details.

We thank our sponsors, volunteers, competitors, exhibitors and the community for their support over many years and now we have to look forward to 2022.

Due to current COVID related conditions, online entry features for the Wentworth Show will not be accessible through Showday Online until Monday 26th July, at the earliest. Thank you kindly for your patience and support at this time.

Temporary closures of Abbotsford Bridge from June 2021

The NSW Government is funding this $2 million essential maintenance work to provide a stronger and longer lasting bridge.

Transport for NSW is carrying out essential maintenance work to upgrade the mechanical lift span and deck of Abbotsford Bridge over the Murray River at Curlwaa. This work will improve safety and reduce the need for future maintenance on the bridge.
